Soledad Barrio and Noche Flamenca
Noche Club

Music
Noche Flamenca was founded in Madrid in 1993 by artistic director Martín Santangelo and his wife Soledad Barrio. Enjoy some of the music we have created on our way. Come back often as we will continue to search our archives and add new music.

THE SOUNDS OF NOCHE FLAMENCA

SIGUIRIYAS
Siguiriyas is one of the most profound songs in flamenco. It speaks of tremendous personal suffering and lost, and attempts to find hope when all hope is lost. Through it's catharsis, one faces, and finally accepts, his or her destiny.

FARRUCA
Farruca is a virile song from the northern coast of Spain. An elegant song which allows the male dancer to discover his manhood by testing his technical and emotional abilities and limitations.

AMANACER
Amanecer is an original piece created by Noche Flamenca based on the traditional form of bulerias.

SOLEA
Solea is an extremely profound song. In this song the artist must abandon herself/himself emotionally to life's sorrows and despair and relinquish herself to a state of desolation and solitude.

BULERIAS
Bulerias is an example of a life "fin de fiesta." A fiestive song which is usually palyed. sung and danced by all artists in the flamenco community. It's content can range from profound to silliness, but it is truly fiestive. One of the most complex and difficult songs in flamenco.

SOLO DE CANTE
Solo de Cante is an example of when a guitarist and a singer improvise a song. In this cut they perform a Tangos.
